Aspire 400 SATCOM System

The Aspire 400 is a satellite communications system that delivers safety services and high-speed voice and data communications for cockpits and cabins, using the global Inmarsat I-4 satellite network with single or dual channel SwiftBroadband connectivity. The system consists of a Satellite Data Unit (SDU) and a Satcom Configuration Module (SCM), plus a variety of antenna options, including:

  • Intermediate Gain Antenna: single- or multi-channel, Class 7, 330 kbps
  • Enhanced Low Gain Antenna: single-channel, Class 4, 200 kbps
  • Low Gain Antenna: single-channel, Class 15, 200 kbps
  • High-Gain Antenna: single- or multi-channel, Class 6, 432 kbps

The system can also be enhanced with Honeywell’s High-Data Rate (HDR) software upgrade to enable data speeds of up to 650 Kbps.
