Resilient Navigation System
The Honeywell Resilient Navigation System is a low-SWaP solution that utilizes three different technologies to ensure safe and secure navigation for drones and ground vehicles operating under GNSS-denied conditions such as jamming and spoofing attacks, satellite signal loss, urban canyons, and multipath interference. This critical capability prevents crashes and mission failures that could lead to loss of assets as well as the data stored on them.
The three layers of the Resilient Navigation System include:
- GPSdome 1 anti-jammer: ensures continued GPS availability during low-power jamming conditions
- Honeywell Compact Inertial Navigation System: utilizes tactical-grade inertial sensors to provide continued navigation during intermittent GNSS outages
- Honeywell Radar Velocity System: millimeter radar-based navigation aiding system that ensures safe navigation during more persistent GNSS outages
The robust solution works even in degraded visual conditions, and does not depend on maps or the environment.
