The AU Series is a linear actuator that has been specifically designed for surface and subsea naval and marine applications. Featuring Wet-Mate electrical connectors and a fully sealed pressure-balanced and oil-filled enclosure, it can reliably operate at depths of down to 6000 meters (10,000 psi). It utilizes advanced proprietary Phase Index non-contact position sensing technology, which provides absolute digital position feedback as well as Field-Oriented Control (FOC) of the motor.
The versatile actuator features built-in BLDC control electronics, and can be controlled via CAN 2.0B, RS-422 serial, or digital signals. It is ideal for a wide range of challenging deep-sea use cases including ROV control surfaces, subsea valves and release mechanisms. Low-cost shallow-water versions for littoral and surface applications are also available.
