Venturetec Rotating Systems is a leading provider of customized slip ring and rotary joint solutions for demanding military power and data transmission applications. Leveraging years of experience in the defense industry, we provide our specialist products to a variety of clients worldwide.

All our components are made in Germany and rigorously tested either at our state-of-the-art facilities in Bavaria, or at one of a number of hand-selected regional partner institutes such as Intertek and IABG. Radar & Air Defense

Radar and encrypted IFF (identification, friend or foe) systems form the backbone of modern air defense ground networks, providing the ability to interrogate and identify an aircraft in flight at distances of several hundred kilometers away. Long-life slip rings with minimal maintenance requirements and enhanced immunity to interference are essential to the successful operation of these systems.

Remote-Controlled Systems

RCWS (remote controlled weapon stations) such as the CROWS (Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station) provide air, sea and land-based platforms with an offensive capability that can acquire and engage targets while being operated from a distance or from inside a vehicle. Slip rings allow these stations, which may be equipped with EO/IR cameras and laser rangefinders, to rotate 360° with uninterrupted operation.

Shipboard Turrets

Shipboard guns provide naval vessels with offensive and self-defense capabilities against threats such as enemy ships and anti-ship missiles. Slip rings ensure that these fast-moving weapons systems are continually supplied with actuator power and data connectivity for target acquisition in all turret positions.

UAV Gimbals

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) utilize stabilized gimbals equipped with EO/IR cameras, laser rangefinders and other sensors to capture mission-critical ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) data that enhances situational awareness and facilitates timely and optimal decision-making. These gimballed systems can rotate freely in several axes thanks to the incorporation of slip rings.

Submarine Optoelectronics

Submarines utilize optoelectronic mast systems with a range of daytime and night-time sensors to perform unobtrusive reconnaissance of the immediate surroundings. Advanced slip rings allow these sensor systems to rotate rapidly and discreetly in order to reduce susceptibility to detection.

Flight Simulators & Trainers

Sophisticated training and simulation platforms with six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) motion, plus an additional yaw axis module, allow pilots and trainees to become familiarized with the powerful effects of spatial disorientation and other phenomena experienced during modern flight operations. With integrated slip rings, the cabins of these systems can rotate 360° to provide realistic simulation.

SATCOM Systems

Satellite-based communication is an integral part of modern command and control systems, and SATCOM antennas frequently need to rapidly change orientation in order to track satellites for maximum performance. Our slip rings enable these systems to be installed in compact spaces while adding minimal overall weight.
