The Apollo X1is a self-contained and independently-powered submersible beacon that provides two-way communications via Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD), as well as GPS and LED flasher capabilities. It enables tracking and easy recovery of critical underwater assets such as AUVs, ROVs and sensor equipment from anywhere in the world, utilizing a solid-state conductivity sensor to detect when the beacon breaks the surface of the water.
The X1 is a miniature version of the Apollo X platform, and can be mounted to virtually any piece of naval equipment. It offers the same capabilities as the larger beacon except with lower operational endurance and a 6000 meter depth rating.
The beacon is compatible with Xeos Technologies' XeosOnline monitoring software, allowing users to receive incoming messages, send remote configuration commands, and track and monitor all assets from a single intuitive interface. Local setup can be easily performed via Bluetooth.
