Private armored vehicle manufacturer STREIT Group officially launched the Cobra 4 Light Armored Multi-Role Vehicle (LAMR) February 21, 2023 at IDEX in Abu Dhabi.

With over three decades of experience manufacturing life-saving defense machinery, the organization has become a leading expert in multi-functional peacekeeping solutions. This new, versatile LAMR is a modern adaptation of the company’s proven Cobra model with a focus on fusing urban transportation, law and order capabilities, and impressive off-roading military endurance.

As an LAMR equipped with STREIT Group’s top-of-the-line ballistics and blast protection technology, the Cobra 4 is best suited for special operation forces, anti-terror groups, and tactical intelligence teams in need of urban driving capabilities.

According to STREIT, the strategic compact size and focus on mobility make the Cobra 4 perfect for drives in metropolitan areas, with the robust security machinery and 4 x 4 configuration making it possible to adapt to modern military formations.

The Cobra 4 is powered by a 3 L Diesel V6 engine with 225 hp. The 80 L tank enables long stretches of usage, and the automatic transmission permits easy driving. Despite its smaller size compared to other armored vehicles, the LAMR’s armoring range is still STANAG 4569 Level 2. The single platform design can be adapted to different layouts, and both RHD and LHD steering orientation options are available. If needed, the Cobra 4 can be fitted with a 360° traversing turret and is suitable for Vehicle Borne Assault System Installation.

“Our customers have long relied on the adaptability, affordability, and multi-functionality of the Cobra model, which is why we updated the LAMR to fit the needs of modern times,” said Ahmed Raza, Deputy Chairman of STREIT Group. “Our number one priority has always been equipping people around the world with innovative safety technology that reliably saves lives, and the Cobra 4 is no exception. We are looking forward to seeing how our customers put the Cobra 4 to use in the field.”
