Sky Power International will present their latest engine and propulsion developments at XPONENTIAL 2025 in Houston, Texas, from May 18 to 22.
Visitors can find them at Booth 3121.
The focus will be on powerful and efficient two-stroke combustion engines, Wankel engines and hybrid propulsion systems that have been specifically developed for use in professional UAV applications, such as ISR missions.
Karsten Schudt, Managing Director of Sky Power International, said, “Due to geopolitical developments, we are seeing a steadily increasing demand for reliable, efficient and powerful propulsion systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. The XPONENTIAL therefore represents a significant opportunity for us to present our latest technologies to an international audience of experts and to intensify the dialogue with customers and partners from all over the world.”
Today, drones play a crucial role in ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) missions, enabling real-time data collection with maximum efficiency and minimal risk to human forces. Drones are used in a wide range of scenarios, from border surveillance, protection of critical infrastructure and civil protection to military reconnaissance.
Schudt continued, “UAVs can reduce risks, lower mission costs and significantly shorten response times. Our increasingly powerful propulsion units enable longer flight times and greater ranges. We are constantly working to optimize these crucial flight parameters, because ISR missions make a significant contribution to safety, situation assessment and real-time decision-making.”
Sky Power International engines are playing an increasingly important role in such missions. As the centerpiece of modern UAVs, they ensure that drones reliably perform their tasks even under extreme conditions and over long periods of time. Thanks to sophisticated engine technology, Sky Power’s propulsion solutions offer maximum runtime stability and low fuel consumption, which is a decisive factor for long-term surveillance and large-scale reconnaissance missions.
The robust design of the engines enables smooth operation even in heat, cold, wet and dusty environments. At the same time, the intelligent engine control unit (ECU) ensures seamless monitoring of all relevant parameters, further increasing efficiency and reliability in flight operations.
With the choice of engine concept and the option of customization, the Sky Power propulsion units are flexibly designed for various platforms and mission profiles. As a result, they play a major role in ensuring that UAVs deliver highly accurate data, stay in the air for long periods and are always ready for action, in both the civil and military sectors.
Schudt stated, “Our customers benefit from the highest reliability, efficiency and customizable engine solutions, which we are continuously developing. This means that we adapt every engine in our portfolio to the application needs of our customers.”
This applies to ISR missions as well as to civilian applications in agriculture, wildlife protection or transportation.
Visitors to Booth 3121 can learn about Sky Power’s latest innovations and discuss customized solutions with the team through individual consultations.
